We bought the original 1920s home that sat here with the intension of saving it. The termite damage was so extensive, we could not. The floors crunched wherever you walked. The dormer sagged. The entire home was eaten up.
We made the heart breaking decision to tear it down and start new. This home is the result of that. And it is our first new build. We injected as much Craftsman detail as we could. Lap and shake siding. Faux attic vents and corbels. Inside we added Craftsman trim, a fireplace, clawfoot tub, and other features you’d expect to see in a home of that era. Even the exterior paint color is designated as historical Arts and Crafts.
